Weekend Up the Coast

Well it is our winter down here, so i have the next few weekends off, so i just got back from a weekend up the coast with Jess www.jessnaly.blogspot.com (An extremly talented fashion photographer, check out the blog!) We had a great weekend, even made it up to the Hunter Valley for some wine tasting (And bought some really nice wine!) Did a few landscapes on my little point and shoot, here are a few.

Awards

Well it certainly has been a couple of crazy months full of Awards, i am please to announce that i have picked up a few along the way!
First was the NSWAIPP State print awards, where i was awarded the title of 2006 Wedding Photographer of the year, it was then of to Vegas for the WPPI Awards, where it seem that nearly every award went to an Aussie, i was fortunate enough to get a few my self - International Wedding Print of the Year - International Photojournalism Print of the Year - First & Second Place, Bride Alone Section - Second Place, Non-Wedding Photojournalism.
Back to Australia, and it was time for APPA, a little disapointed this year in what was a hard weekend of judging, but still came throught to cliam Wedding Photojournalism Photographer of the Year - See Images below to see what the Got!

22.10.05 - Luke & Brooke

What a fantastic wedding!
Shooting Luke & Brooke's Wedding on Hamilton Island was an absolute pleasure.
From a wonderfully relaxed couple mixed with a unreal location, great friends & family, a good time was had by all.
Owen and I even caught up with the bridal party and the couple the day after in the pool Bar........an interesting afternoon, of swimming, drinking, and Thunderstorms!

21.10.05 - Hamilton Island

Well just got back from a great trip on Hamilton Island, i was up there with Owen to shoot a Wedding on the Sunday, but had a few extra days just to sit back and relax, i caught these on the way over to Whitehaven Beach.

08.10.05 - Frank & Angela

Frank & Angela - A big day, filled with lots of driving, lots of shooting but all with plenty of ime which was nice.
Took frank and Ange down George street, for some cool stuff, thanks to fellow DWF'er Berry for helping out!
Will hopefully get a chance to post some more a bit later.

01.10.05 - Renato & Annelle

Great Wedding yesterday, a long day but lots of fun.
Thanks to Rod Thomas for coming along and lending a hand.
Renato & Annelle where fantastic and lots of fun, spent most of the day in the heat out at Horsley Park, but ended up in Brighton Le Sands for some beach stuff before heading to the recpetion. enjoy:)

16.09.05 - Stefano & Natalie

Had a great shoot with stefano & Natalie, a Ballroom dancing couple.
This is for there Ad in this years Australian Championships.
Did the shoot in the new Waterfront Theatre in the Rocks......cool place.

12.09.05 - a XSiGHT weekend

Great weekend with the boys from XSiGHT in Melbourne who where up here to shoot a wedding.
Fun day with an insteresting night at the studio with John completeing the sameday slide show, which was fantastic, the guys shoot some great stuff, overall a XSiGHTing weekend was had ;)
